I decided to take a week off from my Stampin' Up! responsibilities and get away. My husband and I took our trailer for the first trip of the season. We headed north and despite some chilly nights, we were able to stay warm and enjoy biking, hiking and kayaking.
The first day was rain on and off but we got close to loons, turtles and beavers! Then we were surprised by a Hercules Airplane which buzzed very low over the lake!
I do love a good campfire - and of course we roasted marshmallows!
On the next expedition I tried shooting some rapids! First time for that!! Although I got wedged on some rocks a couple of times, I did not tip over or get wet. I call that a WIN!!
I also learned to portage the kayaks. My husband and I were a great team!! We never had to double back.
No matter how much fun we have while away, there is no place like home - - until the next holiday! :-)
